Vanishing Pool was created with layered paper, which is then painted with oil. This is one of a series of works that are inspired by the subtle organic shapes found in ice pools. Each is mounted on a prepared board and hung from hangers in the back. This piece is lifted from the wall with spacers, allowing shadows from the torn paper to play a role in the imagery.
