MIXMASTER 2023 Juried Members Exhibition

MIXMASTER is an exhibition that seeks to discover and recognize the talents of its artist members working in New England and the Tri-State region. Initiated to support and recognize contemporary art, MIXMASTER provides an opportunity for established and emerging artists to debut their most recent work.

Works will be judged by Elizabeth Thompson, Director at Anita Rogers Gallery in New York City.

Location:                             Mattatuck Museum, 144 W Main St, Waterbury, CT 06702
Prizes:                                 First Prize: $500 and a solo show with the Museum (August 27 – November 5, 2023)
                                            Second Prize: $300
                                            Third Prize:  $200
                                            Staff Selection: Upgraded membership to Director’s Circle membership level and all benefits ($250 value)
                                            Visitor’s Award: Upgraded membership to Director’s Circle membership level and all benefits ($250 value)



JUROR: Elizabeth Thompson Kirkpatrick is the director of Anita Rogers Gallery in downtown NYC. She has been with the gallery since it opened in 2016. Prior to joining the Anita Rogers Gallery team, she worked at Bertrand Delacroix Gallery in SoHo for five years. Elizabeth was raised in New York City and Bermuda. She received her bachelor’s degree in art history and French language at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Anita Rogers Gallery represents a diverse roster of emerging, mid-career, and posthumous artists whose work speaks to the contemporary landscape of the 20th and 21st centuries. The gallery, active in both primary and secondary markets, strives to cultivate the careers of exceptional painters and sculptors, both figurative and abstract, who have earned their place in the contemporary art market.
